Saturday English Speaking Club (Ages 8–12)

The Saturday English Speaking Club is a small-group session designed to help children build confidence in spoken English in a relaxed, supportive, and enjoyable way.

These sessions are ideal for children who understand English but feel hesitant about speaking, or who would benefit from practising English in a friendly, social setting.

When and where do the sessions take place?

  • Day: Saturday mornings

  • Time: 10:00 – 12:00

  • Location: Es Capdellà, Calvià

  • Age range: 8–12 years

  • Group size: Small group

The first session will run as a trial session on Saturday 17th January.

What happens during a session?

Sessions are based around fun vocabulary games and speaking activities that allow children to:

  • Get to know each other

  • Speak English naturally

  • Learn and practise new vocabulary

  • Build confidence without pressure

There are no worksheets, tests, or formal lessons. Learning happens through play, conversation, and interaction.

How is speaking corrected?

As children speak, I listen carefully to their language use. Any correction is done gently and positively, without interrupting confidence.

This may include:

  • Modelling correct sentences naturally

  • Supporting correct use of tenses and grammar

  • Helping children rephrase ideas clearly

The aim is not to point out mistakes, but to give children the language tools they need to feel more confident when speaking.

Who runs the sessions?

Sessions are led by a qualified English and literacy specialist with extensive experience supporting children in international and bilingual educational settings.

Cost and practical details

  • Trial session cost: €25 first session now only 15€

  • Please bring: a drink and a snack
