Kids just want to have fun!

Children need to be able to touch, feel and manipulate their environment to enable connections to be made within their brains. Learning through play, such as using weighing scales, fake money or playing monopoly, lotto, Ludo, playing cards and puzzles helps children to learn concepts such as number sense and to develop their language literacy and social skills.

Games are an essential part of children’s experience so they can learn subconsciously and ultimately enjoy the process. Games with a very specific learning intent are always timetabled into my lessons and are instrumental in developing motivation and determination.
